Here are the next steps to take when getting ready to see us

  • Please telephone or email to make an appointment, so that you can be sure that we can firstly assist you and also advise our availability.
  • Please provide evidence of your identity such as a current passport or photo driving licence, and proof of your home address such as a utility bill or recent bank statement. There may be occasions when we require an electronic identity check at an additional cost in order to complete the transaction and we will inform you of this if it becomes apparent that this is required.
  • We will need to be satisfied that you understand the documents you sign, particularly if they are not written in English: We may ask to see a translation or may require the document to be translated before we are able to proceed and this will be an additional cost. We will need to get a quotation for translation and will inform you of the costs of this as soon as we are able.
  • Please make sure you have read and understood what you are signing: we are unable to give you advice about the contents and effect of the document.
  • We may need to see relevant papers or documents that relate to the matter and any correspondence between yourself and a foreign party. It can be helpful to provide all documentation at your appointment and in advance of your appointment to forward any emailed correspondence to us.
  • If you are signing a document on behalf of a company or other organisation, we will need to be satisfied that you have authority to do this. If you do not have any evidence of this then we may require you to re-attend with this at another appointment.
  • Appoints will take place at 19 Beach Road, South Shields, NE33 2QA unless otherwise arranged.
